About Us
Living Creatively is open to all, creatives and self professed non-creatives
alike. We run exciting, experiential courses which are a dynamic blend
of creative challenges, fun games and cognitive techniques. We are based
in both Dorset and Norfolk - visit our courses
for details of our
forthcoming workshops in these areas and book here.
How Are We Different
We operate from a framework of respect, recognition and reassurance.
People who come on our courses work from their own baseline - some may
have already had creative training, wishing to master their creative
processes. Others may feel that they are just beginning their creative
journey. Everyone starts the course on level ground, growing individually
and as a group.
'Perfect: gentle, firm, tolerant and non-judgemental'.
Erica - Writer, Herefordshire
Our exercises are carefully designed to expand your perception of 'creativity',
exploring how it is not just a bunch tools and techniques, but more
a way of 'being'. We focus on a wide range of creative pursuits; art,
writing, photography, collage, music and cooking; our creative training
can be mapped across into other contexts such as personal transformation
and self development.
On the course you will get to know your inner critic (that part of
you which stops you feeling that you are doing a good job) and discover
how to turn it into a creative ally which motivates and works constructively
toward new goals.
'What I particularly liked about the course is
finding and befriending my inner critic. Writing my first poem since
I was 9 and getting messy with paint. The techniques for accessing creativity,
generating positive thoughts, going back to the past & forward to
the future, really helped me to focus on what I want to achieve.'
Bella, Dorset
We welcome your desire to be more creative in life and fully support
your aspiration to connect with your creative self more deeply.
